I have been working at ST Ericsson - Global full-time for more than a year

    Pros

amazing work, lot of learning experience, excellent engineers and colleagues, more responsibility since they have lots of work and less people.

    Cons

poor management esp at higher levels, projects keep getting dumped, lot of pressure since the company is fighting for survival

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

May be strengthen the product research department so that the product road map is comparatively advanced w.r.t. the market need a few years down the line. The development of a product starts when there is already a demand for the product and missing market window in a fast moving industry is thus inevitable.

Project Management is aggressive but projects need continuous replanning on large scale which is not so nice. May be more planning effort could be worth a thought.

May be an improvement in responsibility and accountability will also be helpful. Too many people get involved in a simple feature development (too many cooks spoil the broth). People need to take responsibility rather than just giving excuse and putting all the blame for their own failures on some other sites. This paragraph is especially for the management in Sweden.
