    Love the dynamic nature of the Academic environment, exciting to be a part of discovery based research, comprehensive health care, vacation/sick leave package.

    Cons

    Processes are slow moving because of red tape and bureaucracy .
    Pay is dismal compared to Industry. No bonuses. If we get 2% inflation raise every year, we are lucky

    If you want to let your employee know they are valued and an asset to the university, arrangements need to be made to increase compensation to match industry.

    they allow you to create your own work schedule around your classes, giving you the flexibility to balance out work and study.

    they expect you to stay over the winter and summer break and work, which could be hard for students who are not originally from the buffalo.
