Former Employee – worked at SYKES full-time for more than a year
Pros – Just about anybody can be hired.
Cons – Silly contrests, very bad training.
Advice to Senior Management – Pay more, stop silly contests and use money as incentives. Train better trainers and have current employees set with new employees for two weeks to finish training.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

Current Employee – been working at SYKES as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – Consistent pay with biweekly automatic deposits.
Cons – If your computer does not have the same drivers as their boot disc, oh well, it is up to you to get another computer that will work because they view this as your issue and not theirs.
Advice to Senior Management – Upper Management needs to learn how to train and teach, not just managing with a verbal whip.

Current Employee – been working at SYKES full-time for more than a year
Pros – The paycheck and hours are consistent, provided you come to work.
Cons – Management is clueless as to what the hell you have to deal with day in and day out 8 hours a day in the phone. The attendance/leave policy is something they they , make up as they go along. CSR's are undermined and under appreciated.
Advice to Senior Management – get a clue, or get on the phone!

Former Employee – worked at SYKES
Pros – The programs I worked was very interesting. They were either growing with added changes and new programs were being added. So there was always new learning experience. Sometimes easy and other are challenging to learn. The management was a open door policy. Management was always avaliable to speak with and to help. Also management was able to help us have a lunch room and lockers. Along with other facility improvements. During the close out management did try and help place it employee to other Job connections.. Also helped us into the transition of the unemployed.
Cons – The health insurance was not what I wanted as a insurance. After the buy out of ICT we turn into Sykes. Sykes then proceded to move all program slowly, the eventually closed the AZ unit completely.
Advice to Senior Management – I wish we had the opportunity to transfer to a different part of the co, and or been offered to move to a different part of company

Pros – Learned alot of things from Sykes....some good some bad..still work here.
I really like the company alot, that is all.
Cons – Sitting down all day and not able to get up and walk around is probably the only thing that I didn't like.
Advice to Senior Management – There is really nothing that the managment needs to do to improve, atleast my manager that is.
I think that it's great.

Current Employee – been working at SYKES
Pros – Sykes is a great place to work. They treat the employees great and with much respect. Give out free things!
Cons – Sitting all day long! Other than that, nothing else!! I can't complain, I'm getting paid good for a small town!
Advice to Senior Management – Train the employees better! We still learn it while doing it, but half the time was messing around in training.

Former Employee – worked at SYKES
Pros – My supervisor was terrific!! Loved my co-workers. Benefits.
Cons – Paid-time off. Considerations for urgent situations. When the company makes a change the senior management of the site is not very understanding towards the employees that have been working for the company since it first opened. The upper management will not work with you even if you have been a loyal employee with perfect attendance over two years! The upper management speaking of the ones that actually run the site are not compatonate what so ever.
Advice to Senior Management – If you expect a company to survive and to thrive successfully you have to treat your employees the same way that you expect them to treat you and the customers that they serve. Don't forget that the employees are the biggest part of a company and without us you wouldn't have a job!!! Also you are right there is someone else that will be there to take the place of one that no longer has their position but if you fire everyone (because the turnover rate is high) there will be no one else to hire.

Current Employee – been working at SYKES
Pros – When you first apply they give you the motivational speech concerning opportunity for promotions, but that is only half the story. Politics is a huge impact on promotion potential. Play the game, get the promotion.
Cons – Unqualified supervisors. Incompetence is rampant here, no respect for management.
Advice to Senior Management – Have real standards for positions of authority. Does education matter?

Former Employee – worked at SYKES
Pros – Excellent training program, fun days and morale boosts, continued training on new products and policies with client
Cons – Little opportunity for growth despite the sales pitch during orientation, unprofessional co-workers and management, inflexible schedule, nepotism, and inconsistent company policies
Advice to Senior Management – Please start treating employees more like the people that they are and less like numbers and statistics. Please share more information with employees about the outlook of the company.
