I have been working at SYKES full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I enjoy the office setting they portray and the business casual look . The sales incentives and free prizes you can win . Etc plasma tv's and speaker systems . The chance to make really good money is there. At the AT&T side, just be persistent.

    Cons

Angry customers and the fact that some employees have families and personal problems medical issues and may need to miss a day. They have a strict attendance policy.

    Advice to Management

Give us more slack for family or sick time. We are human and there are hundreds of employees at that office.

I worked at SYKES part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I like that I could work from home. They also provided all the necessary training.

    Cons

Some of the cons would be that I would be asked to cut my shift earlier on many occasions.

    Advice to Management

My advice would be that if you hire people for a full time job please let us know in advance that the job is part time

I have been working at SYKES full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Working from my home office. I was provided with a computer by the Sykes team shortly after I began training. The Team Leads care and are flexible. VERY GOOD PAY. Full-Time hours. Overtime available. Really great time center for requesting time off, dropping and picking shifts. Nifty phone number that can be used to call in sick, speak to a Sykes rep or get tech support if your Sykes computer is having issues. Internal transfers always being offered if you keep a good customer service score. Also DIRECT DEPOSIT!!!!

    Cons

Not many but one was definitely having to go out and buy an expensive call center phone and headset for that phone as well as for the computer even though you'll only need one of the sets once training is over. Difficult to get in touch with higher ups. Mostly a waiting game especially if you have human resource related questions.

    Advice to Management

Make it easier for employee to reach out to human resources and discuss job opportunities within the company.

I have been working at SYKES full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Work from home. Company provides the technical tools to do my job in my home. The pay is right at industry standard and the level of professionalism is impeccable. I enjoy what I do so it is a huge plus to work with others who do as well.

    Cons

My benefits as a full time "consultant" are awful. My healthcare is the same as on the exchange and there is little to no other incentives for me. I am also not sure if there is any room for advancement.

    Advice to Management

    Offer more selection of benefits.
