Great work atmosphere with performance based compensation.

    Manager (Current Employee) Greenville, SC

ProsGreat place to learn two tier distribution and become familiar with IT Vendors. Employee's are paid above industry standard. Positive work atmosphere when compared to other distributors. Accessibility of senior management allows everyone to feel connected with the direction of the company and how decisions are being made. I would suggest SYNNEX to anyone wanting to start a long term distribution career or to make connections with a diverse group of vendors. Because SYNNEX is positioned as a Business Process Services company and not a traditional broadline distributor there is the ability to think outside the box and change directions quickly.

ConsCareer employee's who punch the 9-5 clock and don't offer much additional effort although you find these people at most companies. There are a few people in management positions who would have been weeded out in other companies due to their attitudes and lack of people skills.

Advice to Senior ManagementContinue course around BPS and innovation.

The Ops manager job is 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Operations Manager (Current Employee) Portland, OR

ProsBenefits, Profit share and employee discounted purchasing.

ConsAlarm calls at all hours day, night and weekends. The HR team stumbles through the motions and is just a puppet of senior management. Absolutely no recognition for high performance.

Great experience and stable work environment.

    Sales (Former Employee) Fremont, CA

ProsClose team environment even if you work remotely.
Compensation is fair and stability is much greater than other organizations within the channel. Tenure of folks within Synnex is typically 4x-5x the length to other organizations.

ConsVery difficult to be promoted from inside sales to field sales position, although it is possible.

I have been very dissatisfied at best.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Greenville, SC

ProsAn opportunity to make a living with no weekend work. There are some great people employed at Synnex that are afraid to express their dislikes in fear of losing their jobs.

ConsUnless you are one of the good ole boys, life at Synnex can be very painful. There is little to no compassion shown to employees by the majority of management. The almighty dollar rules. There are some very dishonest and unethical behaviors in some of the management.

Advice to Senior ManagementI would suggest being honest and sticking to your word. The employees are the company and there needs to be a lot more concern for them.

Get some experience here and get out.

Program Manager (Current Employee) Fremont, CA

ProsGood job security. You can work here for the rest of your life as long as you complete your low productivity tasks. Benefits package here is above average when compared to other companies.

ConsMinimal room for advancement and growth. Working environment is very dissatisfying with lack of motivation from peers. Management provides next to no performance evaluations and does not help employees in their advancement.

Advice to Senior ManagementSpend more time listening to the employees instead of taking time off. Management is constantly out on "business trips" with minimal reviews with employees. Personal reviews allow for improvement and growth.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
