Pros
good job security with fair compensation
normal work hours
great first job if you don't stay too long
pretty good team environment
Cons
senior leadership
no real experience gained (not a sales job but an order taker)
must work from the office
minimal opportunity for career advancement
Advice to Senior Management
create a career path
train these people
pay them based on their performance and do away with a single comp plan unless it is based solely on GP
Pros
Close team environment even if you work remotely.
Compensation is fair and stability is much greater than other organizations within the channel. Tenure of folks within Synnex is typically 4x-5x the length to other organizations.
Cons
Very difficult to be promoted from inside sales to field sales position, although it is possible.
Pros
An opportunity to make a living with no weekend work. There are some great people employed at Synnex that are afraid to express their dislikes in fear of losing their jobs.
Cons
Unless you are one of the good ole boys, life at Synnex can be very painful. There is little to no compassion shown to employees by the majority of management. The almighty dollar rules. There are some very dishonest and unethical behaviors in some of the management.
Advice to Senior Management
I would suggest being honest and sticking to your word. The employees are the company and there needs to be a lot more concern for them.
Pros
Great potential for company growth and solid company to grow with. Benefits are really good and most of the people are good to work with.
Cons
Management not empowered or trusted to be empowered to make tactical and operational purchases and decisions. Micro managing from corporate. Corporate management wants to retain too much control over the facilities. Salary not matching market pay for job responsibilities in management.
Advice to Senior Management
Empower local management to be able to make decisions and purchase needs for each distribution center. Salaries need to be reviewed against actual job functions and responsibilities to match what the market is paying for similiar responsibilities.
Pros
Great people
Fun place to work, Will give you time off if you need it.
Great stepping stone to move up
Meet vendors, Learn new technology
Very profitable company
Cons
Commission structure is extremely tough to hit and quota's are high
Advice to Senior Management
Change the commission structure to be fair.
Pros
Young crowd, fun product to sell
Cons
minimal room for growth, advancement
Pros
fun people, most management pleasant and good caring people. Strong growth company
Cons
cheap with salaries.. some advancement but limited for most
Pros
SYNNEX is a progressive IT company that is expanding
there is an ever expanding product line and the company is actively looking at other vertical in which it can grow
Cons
micro management would be the the biggest issue an could be discouraging depending on your personality type. Management tends to be brought in externally
Pros
Good job security. You can work here for the rest of your life as long as you complete your low productivity tasks. Benefits package here is above average when compared to other companies.
Cons
Minimal room for advancement and growth. Working environment is very dissatisfying with lack of motivation from peers. Management provides next to no performance evaluations and does not help employees in their advancement.
Advice to Senior Management
Spend more time listening to the employees instead of taking time off. Management is constantly out on "business trips" with minimal reviews with employees. Personal reviews allow for improvement and growth.
Pros
High job security, friendly people around
Cons
little career advancement for non-sales positions
Advice to Senior Management
you're doing a good job
