I have been working at Saama full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Good place for fresh graduates to learn.
Good training program for freshers.
Visionary US senior employees and management
Good work life balance in most of the projects
Cons – 2013 appraisals have sent out a clear message to employees – Offshore center will either close or only be a place for fresher to work. They are not interested in retaining anyone.
Highly incompetent, non-technical and extremely shallow senior management layer at offshore.
Too much offshore politics lead by senior managers. Those who perform are the one who suffer.
Weak HR
Advice to Senior Management – Saama is a company standing at the cross roads of success and failure. Get rid of the incompetent offshore senior management before you lose all the good employees. Offshore politics has to stop otherwise company is not going anywhere.

I have been working at Saama full-time for more than a year
Pros – Pure play BI company. Small enough for good growth & big enough for client diversity.
Company has lot of experts.
Focus is shifted from Services to Solution selling (for repeatability)
Cons – Lot of people are here for long time so focus shift the company is trying is going slow.
Advice to Senior Management – Need to walk the talk. Show leadership not management to your employees.

I worked at Saama as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – There is nothing good to say about this company. I lost a month pay . It means a lot for consultants.
Cons – Never go on consulting or full time through Saama technologies. Not worth the time for consultants and as well underpaying for full timers. I would say if you a have a different route to get to work at the client place via different vendor . Please do your self a favor.
Advice to Senior Management – Dont set up an interview until the negotiations are done, and dont come back to consultants asking them to lower their rates after interviews are done and selected. Bad work ethics by recruiters.
Hire some one who is worth while in recruiting who stand up to their words and have a better communication skills.
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

I have been working at Saama
Pros – - Saama has one of the best client base not just in Silicon Valley but all across the USA.
- Good learning experience and an opportunity to wear multiple hats.
- Performance is graded correctly and credits are given to the right people.
- Good technical materials provided for anyone who really wants to learn.
- Company has a vision and works towards achieving it.
Cons – - A very poor salary structure which kills the motivation.
Advice to Senior Management – - Unlike what many will say, the Leadership team is excellent with the knowledge and the ability to work with some of worlds big clients like Yahoo, AAA, Adobe, Cisco, Genentech, Apple... Keep up the good work!
- Please try to pay new grads the market competitive salary which they defiantly deserve - this is a big turn off!
