    ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY CLIENTS

Art Director (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsThe office has a GREAT view of lower Manhattan and the Hudson river. There are some genuinely great people who work here that are fun to be around. Befriend the production team that works with S&S. They are the best people you will meet on this planet and they will tell you EVERYTHING you need to know.

ConsThe cons depend highly on which account you are work. General incompetency abounds everywhere. Some Creative higher-ups have serious egos and divas. Beware the account bullies that will try to get you to do work that ISN'T YOUR JOB. In the end, Money rules everything, so your GREAT ideas will be shot down in order to keep the clients happy and SAFE.

Advice to Senior ManagementThere needs to be more solid communication/transparency between all levels of a project.

it's a chew them up and spit them out kind of world where you work till you drop, then get kicked to the curb.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) New York, NY

Prosit has an international reputation, great resources, enviable client list, and a revolving door of strong talent. the compensation is very good, but you can lose your soul in the process.

ConsUpper management is only concerned about numbers, like most places, but it's a constant battle between creative and management. Egos are outsized and respect is hard to find.

A great place to learn the ropes of advertising

Assistant Account Executive (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsA creatively driven shop, that was a great place to learn about the industry. Very hands on, experience oriented.

ConsSaatchi needs new upper management, some new business and a new hiring managers to be great again. Right now, it's just cruising on the strength of its well recognized name.

Advice to Senior Management-Win new business

    Desperately Trying to Survive

Creative Director (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsYou can be totally autonomous because Creative Director, Con Williamson, doesn't care about you. Come and go as you like. Nice view.

ConsThis is a sinking ship. Same team who has won no business in past several years is still in charge? Why? They obviously don't know what they're doing.

Advice to Senior ManagementReplace people who are not effective, namely all of upper management. Can anyone say "insolvent?"

    Really great group of people

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Los Angeles, CA

ProsGreat people and good benefits make this a great place to work. Definitely fast paced; a lot is expected, but the perks and the work/life balance more than make up for it.

ConsIt is SUPER busy, all the time. The expectations are really high, and the amount of work that flows through the agency is pretty insane. Also, it's big - it's easy to feel "left behind" if you aren't quick on your feet.

Advice to Senior ManagementThe agency is changing a lot, and most of that change is really good. Just make sure that we don't lose all of the positive aspects of this place that make it "Saatchi."

    Great place to work

AAE (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsIt is a great agency to get experience at for advertising. I would highly recommend it to other people. There are great, smart, and fun people working there to learn from.

ConsI wouldn't say there are 'cons', but I would not recommend the agency, or advertising in general, to people who are not passionate about advertising.

Advice to Senior ManagementI have not been there long enough to give feedback about the leadership at Saatchi & Saatchi, but I feel very fortunate to be learning under them.

    Saatchi

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) New York, NY

    Pros- Strong leadership
    - Strong sense of community
    - Diverse client roster - CPG, retail, financial services, OTC
    - "Saatchi Switch" - opportunity to "switch" jobs with an employee at another Saatchi office, anywhere in the world, for 6 weeks

Cons- Based on my experience, there are no downsides of working at Saatchi & Saatchi

    Advice to Senior Management- None

Would have been sweet if I was a dude...

Interactive Producer (Former Employee) Torrance, CA

ProsWorked at the LA office for a year...

    Cool working space
    Free coffee machine
    Close to cheap lunch places

    20wordscompleted.

ConsAccount Management runs things with little consideration to Interactive. Very little knowledge in the digital space combined with politics and overloaded process resulted in a poor work environment and constant chaos.

People in general are not great to work with, not friendly, and the tension is high. Don't expect a good work/life balance...you won't get it here.

There is absolutely no training in the "Saatchi Process" which is quite convoluted and difficult to navigate. Be prepared to be thrown to the wolves.

Projects were assigned with little regard/reasoning to a person's skillset and abilities. Very random...

You'll probably do great here if you're a guy and don't mind rubbing elbows with management. Your work quality doesn't matter...just schmooze your way to the top!!! It's the American Dream!!! If you're a chick, be ready to pad the guys' egos or else you'll be miserable here. It's a very "fend for yourself" place with little consideration to comradery and collaboration.

Beware...this place is turning into Crispin 2.0 (even with many former CP+B players), which means a lot of smoke blowing, little organization, and ideas created to win themselves awards (not satisfy the client or the consumer). If you're a female, beware...they think less of you.

Advice to Senior ManagementGet rid of all the smoke-blowers, politics, and back stabbing here! Saatchi could be a really great place to work be the tension is really, really high. There are many other agencies that just, do it better....

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
