Nobody said it was easy and at times it is hard to balance work and family but this continues to improve.

    Pros

Great culture and great products! One of the best companies I worked for. Saba has a strong management team and they truly care about the employees. The CEO is very approachable and doing a great job communicating the vision to all employee level. The company is definitely growing and improving its culture to a fun and energetic working environment. They also provide catered lunch which is great!

    Cons

Company needs better perks that the companies in the valley provide. Better equipment to work with and more stocked snacks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up with the open communication to the employees. We really appreciate it.

    Pros

Saba is completely transformed into a new and exciting company.

Executive Leadership is outstanding. They have a compelling vision for the company and are working hard towards executing it. The growth and momentum is outstanding due to great new products and strong execution to win over competition.

Work Culture rewards hard-work and encourages collaborative environment. The Silo mentality is no longer tolerable.

    Cons

Office Space is limited at corporate!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work. We have excellent momentum.

Amazing New Product + New Leadership = Bright Future

    • Career Opportunities

    Pros

The product team has been quietly working on the next generation of the Saba product (called Saba Cloud) for the past few years now and it is a game changer. While we have been using it internally for awhile now, Saba waited until several hundred customers had adopted it to really "unveil" it externally and now that strategy is really paying off... feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and you can really feel the excitement from customers and employees.

Saba has always been credited with having smart dedicated people, so if you take a great new product and add a talented new leadership team that is empowering those people in amazing ways, you have a recipe for huge success.

If you want to get in on the ground floor of a company that is about to take off, now is a great time to join Saba.

    Cons

Saba competes with big brands like SAP and Oracle that have deeper marketing budgets, but Saba is a much more innovative and entrepreneurial environment.

Plenty of mostly positive change on what is recently an accelerated journey towards the Cloud

    Pros

Energized and energizing leadership at the top levels of the company.
Strong belief and confidence in our new Saba Cloud product, in our employees, in our partners and in our customers.
Plenty of recent discussion internally of Saba's culture and we're beginning to see tangible efforts to increase people's engagement and happiness at work.
Good intentions with respect to laser-sharp focus on customer satisfaction and velocity (although still not as easy as it should be to do business with- and within the company).
Opportunities to work with incredibly smart and talented people.
Opportunities to work with many of the top companies across all industries, both in the US and internationally.
Lots of trust in our people and confidence in people's ability to make decisions and do what's right - for the company and for our customers - at all levels of the organization.
Plenty of opportunities for virtual, remote work, enabled by technology (including Saba's internal instance of Saba Cloud (Saba@Work) and Saba Meeting for virtual meetings and collaboration).
Fairly generous time-off policies and practices, incl. 5 and 10-year rewards (1 and 2 extra weeks off during those anniversary years).
Recent increased focus on helping people find and evolve their careers internally at Saba (this has been lacking in the past); use of Saba's own technologies support such efforts and enable the invidual in this area.

    Cons

In some areas, and in spite of fairly recent leadership changes / infusion of new talent (over the past 0.5-1 year or so), Saba still in the process of evolving / transitioning from a traditional software company (focused on licenses, longer implementation projects, etc). to a leading edge Cloud company. This transformation seems to have accelerated though over the past 1 year or so, with many internal groups now beginning to behave and perform in much more of a Cloud-like manner. Execution has room for improvement.
Career progression / development - and people management in general, at least in some portions of the company - has not been a strong area for many years, at least not within the professional services division. This appears to be improving, especially with many recent opportunities for people to move into new or changed roles directly or indirectly related to delivery of Cloud services (including promotions of people, much more so than say up unitl 1-1.5 year ago).

    Pros

The company has changed a great deal in the past 18-24 months and those changes are clearly for the better. Completing the restatement will be a huge step.

    Cons

The restatement has consumed an enormous amount of time and resources. The company intends to complete it this year.
