    Pros

Great company to learn a lot from, especially if you're a new grad. Sabre is engaged with almost every facet of travel and with many technologies, both currently in use and on the drawing boards of many large companies for the future.

    Cons

Too much analysis and slow to take action.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Challenging work that relates to solving tough problems for the travel industry. Flexible work from home policy but hear that it might be changing soon.

    Cons

Outdated technology with no plans of investing back in the business. Really good opportunity for startups to build and compete

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Empower and drive decision making to lower levels by providing high level of guidance of where company needs to go

I have been working at Sabre full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    a few smart people.

A nice work from home policy which allows employees to work from home once a week (depends on the manager).

    Pay and benefits are good

    Location is a plus

    Cons

Middle management lacks direction and often turns out to be just paper pushers.

Work life balance for people who work in geographically dispersed teams is really bad despite the nice work from home policy

Sabre doesn't like to innovate or invest money on new technology. Many of their products are 25 to 30 years old and they don't really invest money into making them any better. While this might be a informed and intelligent business decision, its an extremely unattractive prospect for technology folks. A lot of folks has been around for several decades and are unwilling to change or innovate in any manner.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Geographically spread out teams (especially when time gap is over 12 hours) might not be saving you any money. Communication with in such teams is very hard which in turn results in a huge productivity drop. If the teams were co-located making independent decisions, you might see a productivity boost.

I have been working at Sabre full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

For a long time stable place to work in. Very good work/life balance with all the benefits of remote work.

    Cons

Currently with all changes decisions are taken a away from the places they should be taken.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Give more responsibility to lower level of management and reduce the matrix organisation. Better utilize multiple development centers by concentrating development teams in only one location .
