I have been working at Safeway part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Amazing people to work with. I'm giving 120% with the hope of a long and bright future.

    Cons

Very little training, a lot of responsibility for $9. Pre hour. Some coworkers are cut throat and will do their utmost to push you out to try and increase their hours....

    Advice to Management

I have great management at my location....however they do have their favorites.....be careful that's a slippery slope.......

    Pros

There is good money to be made if you work your way up to higher paying positions in the store or backstage.

    Cons

Not very high entry level pay in the stores. Not getting holidays off sucks a whole lot sometimes too. Some management at places is bad.

    Pros

Great working environment, friendly staff, and great benefits. Safeway really teaks care of its employees and maintain a very healthy working environment.

    Cons

A very large company where doing great things can go unnoticed, some areas are still very old school, not much upward mobility in a company with this range

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work, have more involved meetings with your team and have training widely available for new hires
