    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Saint Francis Community Services full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I work in the Permanency Clinic as a Therapist for families that have had their children removed by the State. My bosses are supportive and generate a positive atmosphere to work in. My co-workers are always available to help if needed. Great place to work.

    Cons

Sometimes the cases we work with are a bit overwhelming and can lead to some second hand trauma. However, there is a great support plan to get assistance if needed.

    Advice to Management

Continue to assist employees to have a positive perspective with the clients we serve.

    Pros

Co-workers (not management), flexible schedule, getting to work with those in need, great working with different agencies

    Cons

Overworked, required on-call, management treats employees as if they are kids, more than 50+ hours a week, changed benefits causing loss of over $2000 in vacation pay

    Advice to Management

Listen to and respect your employees.

I worked at Saint Francis Community Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great work environment, enjoyed co-workers and position.

    Cons

Little career advancement opportunities. Don't always seek front line workers opinion about changes made to their work load or environment.

    Advice to Management

Respect your direct service workers, they are the face of your agency. Ask them how to improve their jobs, they are the expert.
