    Pros

Pay is reasonable, with increases each year. Patient's are great to work with and many of my co-workers are passionate about the work

    Cons

Many systemic issues that are very difficult to change (or even begin to change) due to the large size of the organization and lack of access to higher-ups. Positions are not posted until the person currently in the position has left (even if current employee gave appropriate notice). This leaves a burden on current employees to handle the extra work-load and training of new employee.

    Advice to Management

Change the hiring policy so that people who give adequate notice can help find and train the next person in their job. Would make for overall better work environment.

Many policies, such as the hiring policy, consider the bottom line before they consider the welfare of current employees.

More opportunities to meet with upper management and to provide feedback would be helpful.

    Pros

It's a job that goes no where.

    Cons

Management don't care for anyone but how good you can make them look. Underpayed for the square footage one person has to cover and be responsible for. Management always takes the nurses word over yours. Cafeteria is way overpriced along with the medical insurance, which St.Francis and St. John's owns. To them your just a warm body to do the jobs they don't want to do or can do.

    Advice to Management

Get real. Take care of your employees, being the largest hospital around you would think the benefits would be a lot better.
