Known for having a good reputation......but very deceiving........upper management does not support staff.

Registered Nurse (Former Employee) Atlanta, GA

ProsGood pay and shift differentials, no wait period to use PTO, benefits are ok, increase pay for clinical ladder advancement. Physicians are good to work with.

ConsER very disorganized. Director never present. Direct manager and assistant managers don't have degree qualifications to run department. No presence of clinical nurse specialist or educator on unit (they work one day a week as educator and on weekends as staff nurse). Unit orientation very unorganized. They are more concerned with rushing you off of orientation to fill their staffing needs instead of offering the classes that you need to learn how to do your job.
Advancements are made based upon who you know and not education/clinical experience. No fairness across the board, management favors those who they prefer. PRN staff are given full-time hours while full time staff have their shifts cut.....Assistant managers are glorified charge nurses and don't carry the role/presence of manager......No support for evening and night shift staff.....all is tailored for day shift.......This is a Magnet hospital but doesn't feel like one. I have worked here for a long time and I have seen this place go downhill over the years.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop advancing individuals to management roles who are unqualified. Management should have advance degrees in management/nursing as a true magnet facility. Listen to your staff, create opportunities for advancement for those who are qualified. Stop tailoring to the needs of PRN staff and instead focus on full-timers who have dedicated time and passion to the organization over the years.

    Lousy Management

Nurse Practitioner (Former Employee) Atlanta, GA

Prospatients were nice....the staff was nice ..location nice, aesthetically pleaseing...a lot of the physicians and nurses were nice

Consmanagement was terrible...had no clue as to what was going on, gave little or not direction to employees there

Advice to Senior ManagementVery poor management...they had no clue as to how the inner workings of the hospital ran and didn't support staff

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
