Current Employee – been working at Saint Mary's Hospital (Tucson)
Pros – Caring staff, opportunities to promote, increased pay for certifications, respect among staff members, two charge nurses, self scheduling, friendly, faith-based mission
Cons – currently no merit raises, increased the nurse to patient ration from 1:4 to 1:5, older monitors, older equipment, lower pay
Advice to Senior Management – listen to the nurses opinions and conerns, don't just implement something without discussing with staff how it will affect those at bedside, try to promote retention of employees, reduce ratios
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend

Pros – I have been there my entire nursing career and know everyone.
Cons – mandatory education that has know re valence to my job. to much micro management
Advice to Senior Management – come spend a day on the floor with us. stop the useless paper forms that may look good for jacho , but take the nurses away from the pt.
