I worked at Sallie Mae full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good benifits, nice work environment with co workers

    Cons

They will fire you and not blink. NO one should have to go to work everyday and worry if your going to have a job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You should take a look at your quality in your employees not the quantity. Take a look at your dedicated employees. NO one is perfect especially when you have a goal to meet.

I worked at Sallie Mae full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Supportive and understanding management. They encourage employees constantly through awards, gifts, and recognition. They provide really helpful training and ensure that representatives are ready to interact with customers.

    Cons

It was stressful dealing with disgruntled customers upset about having to pay their loans and upset that they were approved for the loans in the first place.

I have been working at Sallie Mae full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The bonuses! My largest bonus was 7K and lowest was 1500. I missed goal twice in 12 months. Management is usually helpful in approving time off. Insurance benefits are pretty good.

    Cons

Changing policies and hours. It can be difficult to keep up with everything and there can be a lack of communication in changes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow the possibility of overtime to return- find a way to monitor it so it is not abused by hard working employees.
