    Pros

Flexible with school. People are nice. Free lunch if you work Saturdays. Opportunities to advance

    Cons

Managers favor their friends. I have not seen a single person get promoted based on merit. Sam Swope is all about favoritism. If you want to get a promotion or better pay, you better kiss the right butt.

    Advice to Management

Promote based on merit and not based on who your friends with.

I worked at Sam Swope Auto Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good income. Promote from within. Benefits

    Cons

No respect for personal time. Soul crushing grind

    Advice to Management

Happy employees work harder. Less hours may be more. Sundays and holidays are ridiculous.

    Pros

The management and employees are top-notch and are a pleasure to work with.

    Cons

The hours can be long during certain times of the year, but besides that I can't think of many negatives.

    Advice to Management

Stick to the current plan because I was extremely impressed by the professionalism during my time with the company.

I have been working at Sam Swope Auto Group full-time

    Pros

This is a great place to work. This company provides great benefits for it employees. If one is in the Sales Consultant position there is unrestricted earning potential. There is great family atmosphere, this is a place where one can retire at and enjoy the years spent there.

    Cons

If one is in sales the hours at work can be a little excessive

    Pros

Extremely compassionate company that cares a great deal about the community. A fantastic place to work in most positions, especially sales. Great training for new salespeople that also helps seasoned salespeople do better. Strong management training program, it looks like they really want to promote from within so advancement should be good.

    Cons

Many positions require lots of hours. Since it's retail, that means working evenings and weekends for sales management and salespeople. Hourly people don't see raises very often but other perks can make up for some of that.

    Advice to Management

Do evals and raise reviews for your hourly people.

    Pros

Good coworkers fair pricing good employee purchase program easy to get time off. Good pay if you're good enough at the job.

    Cons

Long hours if you want to get ahead and is very hard to get a person to commit but that doesn't stop the managers expectations.

    Advice to Management

Just be honest no matter what.

    Pros

Possibly make good money, if you work alot of hours and weekends.

    Lots of work, work, work.

    Advice to Management

Get younger. Pay your best sales people more. Lose the EGO!

I worked at Sam Swope Auto Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - You get a paycheck. - You can provide for your family until you find a better job. - You learn all the dirty little tricks of the automotive sales industry so the next time you purchase a vehicle you know what to look out for.

    Cons

    - If you are Hispanic, discrimination and racism runs rampant throughout the entire organization directed solely at Latinos. It's not only tolerated, it is happening at the highest levels within the organization. - They have a policy that if you do not have good credit and if you must go through their 'buy here, pay here' section known as the "Advantage Plan", they will not sell you a car if you do not speak English. This has been their policy for over 20 years according to management. - You must sign an Arbitration Agreement

    Advice to Management

    (1) Take better care of your employees no matter what their national origin is. (2) NEVER underestimate the power of social media. (3) Read up on the definition of "hate crimes' and ensure you're not guilty or covering up for someone else who is guilty. (4) Have spouses sign arbitration agreements and non-disparagement / settlement agreements.

    Pros

The flexibility of my management team. My manager was always fair with his employees and he truly cared about our personal and professional growth. The dealership was always clean and inviting.

    Cons

The cons of the dealership are the cons of the entire automotive industry...12 hour days 7 days a week.

  11. Long, tedious, boring, unscrupulous, and unrewarding.

    Pros

Decent training despite the official trainer, there are a lot of great associates working there that make things much easier.

    Cons

"Nobody walks away" mentality ensures that every customer can walk all over the sales associates and management will ruin any rapport you had with a client in order to make the quick sale.

    Advice to Management

Learn to relax a little bit, make it a comfortable environment for customers and your "associates", it feels like a dentists office.
