Current Employee – been working at Sam's Club full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – My son was able to recieve a 13,000 scholarship for college because I work for Sam's Club. There are many benefits with working at Sam's Club. Plus it is a company that will allow you to grow as far as you want. Also it can be a place for long-term employment. I have been with this company now for 18 wonderful years. No regrets. :)
Cons – Not being able to have a set schedule, but that's okay.
Advice to Senior Management – Always cherish those you have working with you, always be fair, and listen to what they have to say. Don't be afraid to admitt when you make a mistake. Always show the most respect for each indiviual. Communicate with everyone that is around you. And remember the 10- foot rule. These are the basic.:)

Current Employee – been working at Sam's Club part-time for less than a year
Pros – Good Part time position, flexible hours but expect to work all or parer of a weekend.
Good people for the most part, do the job, be polite and you will get noticed and moved to a better position.
Cons – Not everyone wants to work, some folks should be removed. Pay is not the best but there are far worse.
Advice to Senior Management – Stop the constant cost cutting, us the employees to maintain the club. Culture and values are not what is going on today.

Former Employee – worked at Sam's Club full-time
Pros – Great growth potential if you are willing to work hard and want to learn. Everything is earned. Great relationships built with peers and within the local communities that you work.
Cons – Culture of the company is becoming blurred the further they expand and the further they get away from Mr. Sams teachings.
Advice to Senior Management – Reconnect with the culture that made your company great. Figure out how to still maintain the "small" company feel even as you get even larger.

Current Employee – been working at Sam's Club full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Nothing good at this time.
Cons – Telling us that they don't have hours for your department. But want you to push your team to work harder and smarter with out getting hurt and just get the work out on the floor. Sad that you know your department makes money but they don't care how much you make. You only get so many hours for that department. So you have to push your team so hard they are getting hurt and they tell you that's there job and they need to push them self.
Advice to Senior Management – Treat Teamleader with respect instand of doormats and robots. Quit push them to coach there team if they don't hurry up and fill the floor. What happen to respecting the invidual in stand of making money. That's all you worry about.

Current Employee – been working at Sam's Club full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Flexible schedule, lots of different departments to help find something that is for you.
Cons – Work lots of holidays and every weekend. Very poor sick pay policy.
Advice to Senior Management – "Listen to your associates. They are your best idea generators." Sam Walton. This company no longer cares what its associates think. All they care from the top down is what their boss thinks. Nobody has any voice in how this company is ran. Its all high level executives who haven't worked in a store environment in 10 years trying to pretend that they know what is best for the company.

Current Employee – been working at Sam's Club part-time for more than 7 years
Pros – Pay is usually above the minimum wage starting which is really good. As long as you do your job you "should" be ok. Tire department is known as a safe zone for the most part since most managers don't bother too much with the tire department. Cashiers tend to be the ones that everyone is after since they are required to get members to upgrade their memberships.
Cons – There are times when management gets on your case over little issues in the tire department. If you are on the floor expect way more involvement with management. For full timers the job pays very well but if your part time there is a risk of random hour cuts resulting in 30 hrs one week and 15 hours another. Its also very hard to call out sick even when policy tells you to not come in if your ill.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
