Cons – Bureaucracy, politics and corrupted senior management

Advice to Senior Management – Need to value talented employees and promote employees based on their skills not preferences.

Pros – Better than average benefits package
No problem getting training
Free transit!
Reasonable hours
Overtime is paid when overtime is called for

Cons – Politics is rampant, some of the worst I have ever seen
Promotions based on sucking up prowess
Too many clueless managers

Advice to Senior Management – I could make suggestions but they would fall on deaf ears. One of the biggest problems here is that many of the more clueless managers actually believe they know what they are doing. The Emperors New Clothes frequently comes to mind.

Cons – Not all of management know what they are doing. They can not lead by example because they do not know what their employees do.
