I worked at Samsung Group full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Opportunities to work with cutting-edge devices, designs. Also a great place to see your own work applied globally.

    Cons

Senior management is hard-core Korean, male-dominated, slavish to the Chairman and his family, and fearful of being reprimanded. Their fear runs throughout the organization, making the organizational culture rotten at the deepest level. Koreans almost always work in order to get promotions which then boost their social status, in the eyes of family and friends. Desperate and slavish people.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go get a whiff of fresh air. There are alternatives with what you can do with your lives. Also, Korea and the Korean culture and Samsung are NOT anywhere near the center of the universe. Wake up.
