    Pros

Hard to make good partnership with your own people because everyone is afraid.

    Cons

It will be the worst time of your both career and life.
You learn nothing, but drain everything of yourself.

    Advice to Management

    discrimination/ Racism/ Neglect
Worst of all, it's all about Lies!!!!
What's sad about this company is that everything does not have to be that way and treat people that way because the company has SO,,SO much potentials and the some of the employees are super smart. Samsung hires those who are on the top of their game with top dollar, but as soon as they get the talents, the talents start loosing their creativity because the management does not ask of your creativity, but to fix and fit.
    Very Sad experience.

    Cons

Too many SVPs with their own agenda keep Samsung from being all it could be.

    Advice to Management

Review of KPIs that may be good for one segment but not good for company's eco system

    Pros

Intelligent co-workers, great benefits, exciting when the parent company is doing well. Chance to work at one of the world's top tech companies and make an impact.

    Cons

When earnings are down they get very strict with cost-cutting measures, many of which seem more symbolic in nature than anything else and can be quite illogical / disruptive to productivity. Headquarters is located in Korea, and can be overbearing and micro-managing with US locations -- making it feel as though there is a lack of trust. USA is the global innovation leader, you need to trust your Americans more.

    Advice to Management

Petition our stakeholders in Korea to allow for greater freedom and creativity in R & D efforts to avoid letting your engineers fall into a pattern of becoming merely supporting actors on HQ's production efforts, rather than researchers exploring truly innovative projects.

    Pros

Salary, budget, Samsung can attract talented people even if those people aren't allowed to perform to their ability

    Cons

Environment, culture, pacing, constant shifting directions, lack of empathy for employees, constant shifting of priorities, literally a ferris wheel of executive leadership (on the Korean side), inability for global teams to have a material impact on the business (and get credit for it), most of the American operations are a farce as Korea decides all

    Advice to Management

Learn to be a global company. 'CEO' of SISA means nothing because the shots are called from Korea.

    Pros

    Decent pay for job
    Flexible work arrangements
    Competitive benefits (health, 401K)
    Company stability
    Generally good products

    Cons

A Korean company in the US. Korean management culture is very different from US culture
Poor IT infrastructure--it seems like they actively try to make it difficult to get work done
    Little recognition
Impossible to get promoted, no room for advancement
    No connection to customers

    Advice to Management

Work on career planning and advancement
Either give in and just become a Korean subsidiary or figure out how to compete with other Silicon Valley companies

    Pros

For the most part, very nice people. A lot of interesting things going on.

    Cons

One step forward, two steps back because everything needs to be approved by HQ. And even after greenlighted, can be changed midstream by HQ.

    Advice to Management

Allow true cooperation and exercise much less centralized control from HQ.

    Pros

Good benefits, nice offices, and decent salary. There are some really smart people working here, but chances are most of them are still in the "honeymoon" phase or got used to the money and the aimless direction management takes them in

    Cons

No one talks to each other, the company has so many projects and so many team and no one is on the same page.
This is a Korean company, that means politics and red tape everywhere. If you just want to take the money and have a stable work environment, come here, but if you want to do meaningful work and change the world, stay away.

    Advice to Management

Stop the passive aggressiveness. These are smart and good people. Trust them, and come to the modern age. Cut the bureaucracy and hierarchy.
