Former Employee - IT Intern in San Bernardino, CA

I worked at San Bernardino City USD

    Pros

Fast paced environment in which myself and the other interns answered over 70 calls per day and had the opportunity to do field work

    Cons

There is a very low chance of promotion. In order to advance in any way one needs to dedicate years and years to a low paying job, only to get a slightly better paying job as a reward.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The intern position should be expanded to allow the interns to work more hours and on more difficult and challenging projects.

    Pros

The school has good retirement, along with other school districts. You have health, vision, and dental for employee and dependents.

    Cons

Few materials to use. Not enough speech language pathologists to serve the district. You aren't located at just one school, instead, you're at many sites.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire contact therapists to serve students. Provide a hiring and retention bonus. Provide training days to therapists so that they can maintain credentials.
