    Pros

The employees have a lot of heart and community spirit

    Cons

The usual school-related annoyances. Standardized testing is taken very seriously, but if you have a good work-ethic it is fine.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep a clear vision of the future. Emphasize minority inclusion in rigorous courses.

    Pros

Job security - almost impossible to get fired.
Weekends and Holidays off if you aren't a coach.
Routine... if that's what you like.

    Cons

    No support from higher ups.
Central office has people that have been there too long and are resistant to change.
Routine... if you don't like that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to the grass roots folks, and give them back up. They are on the front lines.

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook

A school district focused solely on state tests as a metric for gauging individual student achievement.

    Pros

Have many new resources and an abudance of technology at your fingertips.

    Cons

Programs and initiatives implemented by districts do not provide adequate foundation and support for students to master any subject before being forced to move along in accordance with the yearly scope and sequence, pacing guide.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Retire or get back in touch with reality and back to the fundamentals of real teaching!
