    Pros

Benefits are great and accrual of PTO is amazing. Set schedule with 40+ hours a week. Supervisors are great to get along with.

    Cons

My department and my job title only allows one person on PTO perday. Since there are only 5 people that hold my position getting days off are sometimes a little frustrating. We can't switch/trade days with coworkers. It takes 6+ months of cage cashiering experience to become dualrate or 2+ years cage cashiering to become full-time banker.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees when they complain. We are on the front lines with the customers. We experience first hand everything going right or wrong.

    Pros

Earn 8 hours vacation every 2 weeks. Free beverages at breaktime.

    Cons

Kiss-up politics. Kiss-up, or get out. Extreme kiss-ups have advancement opportunities. Snitchery is rampant. Most members of security are very immature and cop wannabes. They enjoy seeing people go to jail. Teamwork is NOT compatible with a kiss-up environment. The bosses became bosses by kissing-up. NONE of them have any leadership skills, and they treat the non kiss-ups like dirt, and they give them the less desirable tasks, like standing in 1 secluded spot for 5 hours. And if you need to use the bathroom, they hate you for your humanly needs. A true soldier doesn't take peepee breaks! Oh yea, everyone thinks they are either a cop or a soldier. The bosses encourage harrassment of non-attractive people. They call them non-desirables, and if the boss wants you to harrass them for no reason, you have to! Lastly, I worked for 2 years with no raise. Times are tough for casino owners? Not even a nickel, in 2 years time. Nothing personal though, not even the kiss-ups get raises. When you go home after a hard day, you can sit down and stress out about the possibility of being fired the next day, or stress out about how bad the next day will be. You are a fool if you say "It could be worse."

    Advice to Management

You are not smart people, that is why you work in security in the first place. Tissue? With this being said, look at yourselves. You are human, so act like it. Your peeons are not soldiers or deputies. You are lucky to have these peeons kissing up to you, so treat them well, and not just the ones who sit under your desk, treat them all well, even if they have the guts to tell you they don't like you. Your emoloyees are NOT just your employees, they are members if your team! How can you talk to your teammates like they are dirt, and then expect them to go out and do a good job? A war hero is only a war hero on the battlefield. When a war hero becomes a security guard, he is then just a security guard.
