    I worked at Sanlam

    Pros

Strong professional culture, where the image and values of the company are promoted at every level. People believe in the products they offer, and work in cohesion to maintain the leader role in the insurance industry.

    Cons

Work life balance is not an easy goal to accomplish as clients dictate your work hours. Legislation from people not inside the industry puts too much red tape out there.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The people steering the "Sanlam" ship dictates and to a great extent influence the culture. The emphasis must get back to people and away from the product. People will sell the product every time and need to be supported in a family/company way with the focus shifting away from us and them to a "what can we do to improve the battle conditions on the frontline"

    Approves of CEO
