Pros – There are a lot of good people working for the company.
Many and diversified resources to draw on.
Opportunity to get involved in facilities and programs all over the world.
Flexibility in working arrangements

Cons – Sometimes top level management won't get out of the way and let the good people they hired do their job.
Minimal raises (negotiate your salary up front)

Advice to Senior Management – Hire good people and don't over manage or over control them.

Pros – Good training for a better job. Clean working conditions.
Tuition reimbursement.

Cons – Substandard compensation as compared to equivalent positions at other companies, far below the national or area averages. Raises are almost unheard of. No opportunity for advancement. If you are good at your job your supervisor will not let you move to another position because they will not be able to replace you.

Advice to Senior Management – Take a serious look at your management structure. You do not need 1 president, 6 senior vice presidents, 4 vice presidents, 6 directors 12 managers and 6 supervisors to support 300 workers.

* Bureaucracy is all over the place
* Lack of Employee Apreciation

Cons – Horrible teamwork. No direction for my department and weak management.

Pros – If you need the work, I guess it's a paycheck.
The people there work very hard and are down to earth.

Cons – Management in Sanmina couldn't care less
Very little ethics or morals
A revolving door of Managers in and out, no consistency
Poor behavior by management tolerated with no HR consequences
Nothing other than a "Yes Boss" environment
Very little career advancement

Advice to Senior Management – Start holding people accountable to poor behavior.

Cons – Poor senior management leadership, and attitude

Advice to Senior Management – Value your people, and show appreciation, and stop the on off laid off and workshare every 3 months or so. Peoole are very unhappy, and do not feel comfortable working there

Pros – some okay people were there.

Cons – 1.Nepotism
2.Discrimination based on ethnicity.
3.Many people with "skills" not related to good performance and accomplishment
4.Huge bureaucracy and politics, very few managers who recognize good work
5.Nothing gets done unless escalated and then, most managers take the credit of the good work done by their people

Advice to Senior Management – Change managers who have milked enough this company and who act based on personal interest only.

Cons – Bad and very low pay

Easy to get a job
Excellent learning ground for a variety of industries

Cons – Highly stressful due to bureaucracy
Non-transparent / no direction from upper management
Constant threat of lay-off (I was there for over 9 years)
Trivial raises

Advice to Senior Management – Remove bureaucracy.
Focus on making more profit rather than just saving money (cost cutting, lay-offs)
Incentivize long term outlook from plant VPs rather than quarterly/annual performance
Retain long-term employee by proper incentives rather than penny-pinching.
