I have been working at Sanofi Pasteur full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Territory size is manageable, it's not too big. Medical & Retirement benefits are good.

    Cons

The company has no sales identity, horrible culture and is structured around a 20 year old BSA/BSR paid intern program. The company wants talent but is unwilling to compensate or foster that talent. Company does not embrace an entrepreneurial spirit or innovation. You either fall into an antiquated model or your are left on the outside. When achieving results outside of this antiquated structure they do not know how to interpret it or reward it. The company has little value for their people and their customers. The only reason they have been able to operate this way for so long is because very few companies are willing to take on the biologics of vaccine. The company is good for a need college grad that starts off in their intern program and foolishly and narrowly move through their career with this horrible culture and no diverse sales or professional growth.

    Advice to Management

Soooo far removed from the actual evolution of the healthcare industry. Invest in true strategic forecasting tools to better manage your business. Decisions are made without thorough thought process, the company is always playing catch. The company is a good ole boys clubs. Need new cultural and professions diverse leadership. Learn what it means to value your people and customers. Word to the wise: Culture eats strategy or lack there of for lunch!

    Pros

Competitive salary for area, great benefits, we'll diversified, worthwhile mission

    Cons

While culture statement is well-intended, most opportunities given based on politics, and management plays favorites. If you're not on the"in" group, it's impossible to get ahead no matter what you do or how hard you work.

    Advice to Management

Start following the written company culture statement, base advancement decisions on work ethic, performance, and motivation rather than on good old boy mentality.

    Pros

Working to create a world in which no one suffers or dies from a vaccine preventable disease is a great mission statement for a great company.

    Cons

The industry that we work in presents constant challenges. This requires a degree of agility that we sometimes struggle with at sanofi.

    Advice to Management

Despite the fast pace of our business, we can benefit from choosing smart times to slow down to implement long term improvements

    Pros

The checks are consistent. The work is consistent. There is over time if you want it.

    Cons

Management treats people like they are tools. From the top of the organization all the way down to the temporary workers. They inspire no loyalty or trust. They have no understanding of teamwork

    Advice to Management

People would give you more if you just treated them with respect. If you want better productivity in the workplace and you want people to care then lead by example and start to care and be part of the team.
