Pros
Rewarding job, still have some decent benefits, speciality vaccines keep the company in business and you working, close to home
Cons
Recent changes made to stay competitive has lowered morale and eliminated some benefits. You have to tell yourself that you are one of the lucky ones to have a job weekly.
Advice to Senior Management
Outsource the entire IS dept. Never in my 30 years in the business have I seen a support group that ignores their customers needs and answers to Global and local IS goals and objectives.
Pros
Flexible schedules, benefits, campus atmosphere
Cons
Lack of communication between departments. Logic seems to have been pushed to the side with some decisions that are made.
Pros
It's nice to know you're making vaccines that have real medicinal value. 9+ weeks of vacation in France, good pay, nice location (Lyon), somewhat international company.
Cons
Dysfunctional support functions (such as IT and HR). Smug attitude of many employees and many people pretending to be busy when they are not. Real problem with useless time-consuming meetings.
Advice to Senior Management
Overhaul or outsource the support functions.
Pros
If you are looking for a pay check ...go place to work....long term career advancement - negative
Cons
Skills level of management team is low....management is more interesting in looks...good old boy network in engineering!!!
Advice to Senior Management
Get rid of the good old boys network, look at your talent and develop people....poor development of people....stop the blame game
Pros
Very talented people within IS at Sanofi
Salary is OK
Technology in the company is incredible
Cons
Unless you can get in directly with sanofi, there is ZERO chance to advance.
Advice to Senior Management
Give up and stop being so shady
Pros
vacation package is great; beautiful campus
Cons
pay is on the lower end of industry standard; company is extremely hierarchical, people are pigeon holed in 1 specific role and spend the rest of their lives there
Pros
Large company, good resources, benefits aren't bad, vacation time is great.
'
Cons
Lot of "lifers" so hard to get promoted.
Advice to Senior Management
None
Pros
good benefits and pay, great products
Cons
upper management out of touch
Advice to Senior Management
Listen to lower level employees
Pros
Salary is good for the area. Also, employees are great to work with. That's about all the pros I can come up with.
Cons
Managers lack any experience to gain respect and do not understand how to effectively manage people, sitting behind a computer all day, cursing does gain the respect of employees. Management gives new meaning to the words micro management.
Advice to Senior Management
Start looking at employees as people, who can contribute to the future not just as numbers. Good employees will not tolerate being swept under the carpet, they will just move on to other companies.
Pros
-Very good pay
-great boss and colleages
-good benefits
-clean, well stocked labs with lots of money to purchase commercial kits which makes lab work a lot more effort-saving, with less frustration
-Pride in working for the largest company dedicated to vaccines
Cons
-work can be repetitive (smiliar experiments for weeks/years)
-can be difficult to advance
Advice to Senior Management
-great company, really a pleasure to work for you guys
