I have been working at Sanofi U.S. full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Onsite post 'office', gym, pharmacy, doctor's office and physical therapy. Ability to work from home 2 days a week and/or a flex 1/2 day.

    Cons

Raises and Bonuses are a joke in certain departments if you are a female w/ a family or life outside of work. Boy's club rules the roost. Complaints to upper management and HR go nowhere and are never followed up on. Org structure is disasterous in some areas. You have one level doing the 90-98% of the work of 1-2 levels higher but is told no promotion bc of that missing percent. However a male is doing 10% of the work at the higher level, being paid for it and no one thinks it's fair for him to start taking on more of the work required for that level.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Need to really watch what is being said to employees bc in the age of technology capturing everything is much easier.

I have been working at Sanofi U.S. full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Broad revenue base from multiple revenue channels - all within healthcare

    Cons

New leadership from Glaxo and working to "gut" the company of the old leadership and build a new leadership team. Very poor R&D so pipeline continues to disappoint.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be sure to know how long the person you are working with has been with the company

I worked at Sanofi U.S. full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

At its high water mark, Sanofi had unique, world-class products across multiple therapeutic categories. At one time, the company's motto was, Because Health Matters, and it did. These aspects provided the extra incentive beyond the pharma industry average salary, bonus, benefits they paid.

    Cons

If new, innovative products are the lifeblood of the pharma industry, then Sanofi is in a truly anemic state. Major, late pipeline embarrassments abound. Most recently, the FDA denial of Lemtrada (the cornerstone of the Genzyme acquisiton), delays with lixisenatide, and of course the monumental development failure of rimonabant. Add to this scenario the swing and miss on devices such as iBGStar and Auvi-Q; a clear picture of a leadership miscarriage emerges. A culture of "Change Agents" has been deployed to distract attention from the ongoing hemorrhaging, anemia, and soon to be patent cliffs on cash cow donor Lantus. The "MS Franchise" is down to Augagio. Another round of early 2014 staff reductions will staunch the rate of bleeding, before more aggressive amputations are ordered. Sanofi will likely emerge a diminished shadow of its former self. Best advice for job seekers: Keep ones eyes wide open, hearing tuned in to outside channels, and resume at the ready.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Step out from the Maginot Line fortifications and obstacles you've set in your path. Listen to the voice of the customer(s), double/triple your business development staff, pare down drug development until you truly have a plan worth developing. Hire new regulatory staff since the current group is tone deaf to FDA frequencies.

    Pros

Freedom associated with sales job, benefits are good, Vacation time is good.

    Cons

Micromanagement, limited career opportunities, manager is self-absorbed and not concerned about development of people. Too much cronyism. Transparency is gone. Salaries are off. Needs salary survey. Diversity is should not be limited to only gender.
