    Pros

Great benefits and good opportunities along the way

    Cons

You can expect layoffs 2 or 3 times a year, without fail, corporate communication is awful, and it's nearly impossible to get anything done quickly because of the layers of red tape that they call "efficiencies." Sanofi is also notorious for not paying their vendors. It took me over a year to get a $300 vendor bill paid because the Finance team kept saying they never received any one of the numerous invoices said vendor repeatedly mailed into the Finance team over that year.

    Advice to Management

Pay your vendors. It's inexcusable for a company this large and with this many millions of dollars to avoid paying their vendors. And most importantly, your employees should not be how you balance the budget. Routine layoffs should not be how the company tries to right the inefficiencies of so many things this company does.

    Pros

Strong pipeline of products in the next few years, creating plenty of employment opportunities

    Cons

Seriously weak senior leadership that lacks experience and/or credibility.

    Advice to Management

Stop listening to your own PR and start listening to the employee surveys. Nobody trusts or respects you.

    Pros

Great pay and benefits. Good company cars.

    Cons

Sanofi is always behind the eight ball. They got to fat and lazy with the number one selling insulin in the world, Lantus. Instead of doing something different to stand out from the competition, they just kept raising the price. In 2014 we had 7 price increases and they started 2015 out with another price increase.

    Advice to Management

Do things for your customers and patients that is right, not just profitable.

    Pros

Enough funding to attend scientific conferences, clear direction for objectives.

    Cons

Objectives change every 6 months requiring projects to be abandoned - and leaving outside collaborators scratching their heads. People are put in charge of departments where they have no experience. Global staff specifically exclude US staff from making decisions - even those with FDA or other US entities.

    Advice to Management

The US is actually on the Globe.
Stop treating it as a pariah. Bringing managers with no management experience and no department experience to Cambridge vs raising up people from within will motivate good executives to go elsewhere. They don't need to go far, Cambridge is full of opportunity; it will be your loss

    Pros

Sanofi has a competitive benefits package which includes an above average 401k match program, numerous employee discounts and flexible work schedules.

    Cons

It can be challenging to be visible to management as there are several layers to navigate. Many employees are frustrated that the recognition objectives are not fully met.
