    Average

Complaints (Current Employee) Milton Keynes, England (UK)

ProsRelaxed environment. Ability to take time off work to apply for jobs in other departments. Seniors take time to step into your shoes to look at it from your perspective. Seniors are very nice so far. Discount perks at local restaurants.

ConsTedious work (my role) A lot of unhappy customers calling in. From the sounds of it, Santander have some major problems with customer service.

Advice to Senior ManagementSomething needs to be done with timescale promised to customers. If we promise to contact them by this date or send them something by this date, we should really do it.. otherwise give them a longer date to wait!

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

Appallingly badly run organisation that treats staff like meat. Zero stars would be generous!

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) London, England (UK)

ProsCan't think of a single good reason to work there. Avoid with all your might. Looks good from the outside, rotten inside.

ConsShockingly bad senior management that changes all the time as career Santander big wigs see it as a less glamorous stop on their career path. Current leader gets all those around him to do all his thinking and work. Constant reorganisations and downsizing. Targets unachievable. IT support non existent. Treat staff like a dispensable commodity. No redeeming features whatsoever.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou know what you're doing! Shame on you.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Cool

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsCompany encourages diversity and inclusion. You get lots of trainings even as a part time which is just fantastic. Lots of nice people from former GE money still work there

ConsIt is difficult to change roles or units. The pay is not fantastic and it takes forever to get promoted.

    it was ok

Collections Adviser (Former Employee) Newcastle upon Tyne, England (UK)

    Prospay is ok
    hours are fine
    infrastructure is good

Consunnecessary disciplining like having to call a seperate line to seek permission for toilet break even though you are supposed to have a 7 min floating break. The so called traffic manager checks if it is ok for you to go on to rest room and most of the times they say call later or wait for 5 minutes i would call you back this is not acceptable because it is nature's call one is trying to answer and nobody in the world has the right or authority to stop other's from doing their rest room duty.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe practical and reconsider your decisions regarding such situations.

Really poor company! Poorly run and poorly managed!

Card Services Advisor (Current Employee) Milton Keynes, England (UK)

ProsWorking the night shift with it's small allowance and low call-rate is a bonus to working during the very awful day shift!

ConsA distinct lack of competence and efficiency in major areas! Service is even poorer to the Santander/Konecta employee then it is to the Customer and that's saying something!

Advice to Senior ManagementPay attention to your employees' needs and get some advice about how to run a major international company's CARDS department well!

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
