    Pros

You get to work on great and innovative projects for major companies. The environment is fun and creative. The people are nice and are always willing to help.

    Cons

I have not been able to find very many downsides to Sapient for my personality type. Some projects really challenge you and your abilities. I find that as a pro but some people may not.

    Pros

none. they hire experienced folks, but do not listen to them. they demonstrate no leadership, so the projects often waste the clients time and money

    Cons

they treat their workers as serfs or worse they have no original ideas choosing to follow the marketing herd. they don't value people, promoting posers who learn how to brown nose with the senior management

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pros

Creative, Engaging, Supporting, Unique, People-Oriented Approach

    Cons

They have decided to focus on their creative work and let some of the other businesses die off. A plus for the company as a whole, but too bad for those of us who couldn't keep on.

It is a fantastic company to work for, but nature of industry means work life balance is shot

I have been working at Sapient

    Pros

    - Company values and culture. Management truly promote and recognize people for upholding company values and they are not just words.
    - Management respect the employees and value talent. Outstanding performance is always recognised.
    - Bonus schemes are equitable
    - Good opportunities to grow as well as work in different areas as part of your growth targets. Feedback is encouraged, though in practice on busy teams, this may not always work.

    Cons

    - Work life balance is poor, although this seems to be the general trend in the technology industry with a 24*7 work cycle.
    - If you are manager or above forget you can enjoy holidays in peace, you have to be available for conf calls and respond to emails. This does mean that you do not truly unwind on holiday.
    - Majority of the delivery staff is based in India. High staff turnover in the country for most companies means Sapient keeps this group more coddled and appeased than local staff. This does lead to delivery and working relationship with client, challenges, as India office may often dictate terms in how a project gets delivered

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    - Do develop and take care of staff in India, as they are key component of GDD model, but not such that they dictate terms on how projects are delivered. Leadership of projects should always be local to the client.

I have been working at Sapient

    Pros

Opportunity to travel and work with many different clients on different kinds of projects.

    Cons

Long hours, staffing process is a little unorganized and as a result you sometimes miss out on project opportunities that more relevant to your career.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to management would be to communicate more clearly with employees on the availability of opportunities.
Also provide a fair method for getting people on projects, rather than picking favorites.

I have been working at Sapient

    Pros

There is lots of flexibility with your work schedule, as long as client is satisfied. The people are also intelligent and laid back. Great culture!

    Cons

Lots of hours; management can be unfair. Company plays favorites - politics are rough. Company also sells work without having staff or ability to deliver.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

We need a Sr. Management team that has worked at other companies other than Sapient. Leadership is mostly old school Sapient or has no consulting experience. Our future is at the stake of people who don't necessarily know what they are doing, It's a bit scary.
