Pros
- Company values and culture. Management truly promote and recognize people for upholding company values and they are not just words.
- Management respect the employees and value talent. Outstanding performance is always recognised.
- Bonus schemes are equitable
- Good opportunities to grow as well as work in different areas as part of your growth targets. Feedback is encouraged, though in practice on busy teams, this may not always work.
Cons
- Work life balance is poor, although this seems to be the general trend in the technology industry with a 24*7 work cycle.
- If you are manager or above forget you can enjoy holidays in peace, you have to be available for conf calls and respond to emails. This does mean that you do not truly unwind on holiday.
- Majority of the delivery staff is based in India. High staff turnover in the country for most companies means Sapient keeps this group more coddled and appeased than local staff. This does lead to delivery and working relationship with client, challenges, as India office may often dictate terms in how a project gets delivered
Advice to Senior Management
- Do develop and take care of staff in India, as they are key component of GDD model, but not such that they dictate terms on how projects are delivered. Leadership of projects should always be local to the client.

Pros
- Good environment and great people to work with
- Flexible work time schedules
- Open concept culture and environment
- Favourable benefits package
Cons
- Very competitive nature and there is a very high demand to complete things with short deadlines
- You sacrifice your work/life balance to meet client deadlines
- There is a lack of people growth support. Sapient works as a self-service model so you shape your career path
Advice to Senior Management
- Care for your staff and create people growth programs to support your team. There is the expectation that work needs to be completed and it's reasonable; but the level of recognition in the promotions and rewards process is flawed.
Pros
Good package
Flexible culture and some really brainy and techie people
Cutting edge technology to work on
Cons
The management does not have any vision on what they want to achieve
They want to build capability on technologies which are hot but they have no clarity if the sales pipeline is there or not
Loads of people on Bench for more than 6 months to 1 year simply eating the company network bandwidth surfing Facebook while many people slogging out on the projects day and night and even over weekend
Not good human capital management
Non Effective utilization of resources
The Gurgaon- Bangalore partiality and distinction leading to most good projects being pushed to Gurgaon even though lot of people may be on bench in Bangalore
Staffing team acts more like a contracting agency and pushes people to projects without capability and liking assessment. Worst part all staffing team members sit in Gurgaon so Bangalore is only virtual calling centre
