Pros
Its fast pace labor work and pays well with great benefits.
Cons
You have to be on-call at all times and is frown upon to turn down a shift no matter what. Its shift work so start times are 8am, 1130am, 6pm, 3am.
Pros
Good work life balance. Time off when required. Innovative and good quality products. Good footprint in Canadian marketplace. Good marketshare.
Cons
Lots of dead weight, people who have been there way too long, sitting it out waiting for their pensions to grow fatter.
Large company but run like a "mom and pop" operation.
Be ready for lots and lots of micro management.
Nepotism rife, lots of jobs being reserved for family connections.
Advice to Senior Management
We are well into the 21st century, try acting like a company with 10 000+ employees and stop micro managiing everything to the nth degree.
Pros
The benefits and pension package is amazing, as is the HR department.
Cons
Too many office politics, and people complaining about their fellow employees.
Advice to Senior Management
Fire the dead weight.
Pros
For the most part , Saputo is a good place to work . The fellow workers are fun to be around and most people are there to do a good job.Seeing new products as well as new equipment coming into our facility is always positive .
As far as money is concerned, it can always be better but is satisfactory for myself !
Cons
shift work, zero recognition with jobs well done !!!!!! Only negative feedback .
HR. should be equally divided between helping out employees as there are in helping out management, I don't feel that with our new HR that's in place this is the situation at all !!
Advice to Senior Management
It would be nice to here some "positive feedback" once in a while .
Try to be more understanding when there are personnel problems at home to deal with .
Try and look at better working hours geared towards family life .
HR is to be there for both employees as well as a liaison with employers , NOT JUST MANAGEMENT DRIVEN !!!!!!!
