    Pros

    Work life balance Always challenging, never boring Excellent training opportunities Great benefits Consistent schedule of evaluations

    Cons

    Silo mentality between departments (this is improving but still has a way to go) Long-term employees resist new technology and processes

    Advice to Management

    Its moving in the right direction. Keep making efforts to get the right people in the right seats on the bus.

    The experience - seeing concepts in use, working with tools, etc.

    Wasn't able to concentrate in security field as much

    Wonderful co workers. Amazing experience and opportunity to learn and grow.

    Cons

    Due to decline in economy, no raise for 6 years. Furloughs and mandatory overtime.

    Advice to Management

    More thorough, consistent training for new employees

    Pros

    Benefits (but they have diminished over the last 3 years). Lunch 5 o'clock

    Cons

    Too much office Politics. Micro- Management oriented.. Opinions and ideas not respected by upper management.. No professional growth opportunities.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to employee concerns on occasion. Your employees are the heartbeat of the organization.

    Excellent work environment - positive, encouraging, access to the best health and wellness benefits

    No room for advancement ( in the library system); lowest pay when compared with other library systems

    Good leadership. Good Work Hours.

    Cons

    No personal Growth. They can move you around for diffrent job. When you don't perform because no tranning they will fire you.

    Advice to Management

    Please provide good tranning when you move people around to give them opportunities to leard about new job and let them be succ.

    I'm getting insurance and the provide a little into a retirement plan (at the present)

    No true career path, communication is bad from supervisors and management and they can be micro-managers.

    Practice the career advancement policies you preach.

    Very fare. Benefits are good compared to local private companies. Positive and friendly staff.

    Lacking salary increases. Politics. Job security.

    Advice to Management

    Lead, not manage. Provide the appropriate resources for your employees to perform at their best. Research more on your individual teams to understand their necessities to get the job done.
