    Pros

International coworker. Will listen to all your ideas. Two computer screens. Flexible work hours. Many positions offered travel. Wanted you to learn.

    Cons

Management does not have your back. Don't bother making a complaint to hr. They are friends with the bullies. Traveling was great, but they will not pay for half of the expenses.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If someone makes multiple complaints about another coworker than something should be done.

    Pros

Lots of products to sell. Well known by customers. Some support staff really want to do their best to support the customer.

    Cons

OK if you are a guy. Might not be the best choice if you are a woman. Management is in Germany.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better training and on-boarding of new hires. Be honest with your team.

I have been working at Sartorius Stedim full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great coworkers, excellent products, good benefits, integrity, R&D, access to management.

    Cons

Products hard to deliver making customer service a nightmare. Promotions and raises are scant, even for good performers. Communication with Germany is horrible and causes many delays and unhappy customers. Hard to know who to contact.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve lead times. Streamline order processing. Needs way better responsiveness from Germany. Get back to focusing on customers. Promote from within.

I worked at Sartorius Stedim full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

This was a great place to work, with an excellent management and corporate organizational structure. The R&D department works fluidly and flawlessly for such a large organization. This place has all the benefits of a large corporation without any of the drawbacks.

    Cons

They were too focused on cutting cost and moved off shore. Based on what I could gather it had nothing to do with not being able to make a profit and everything to do with making much more money at the expense of their work force.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Company management should learn that there are huge benefits to keeping an R&D location in technologically advanced hot beds such as the San Francisco Bay Area and not consider moving offshore so lightly.

I have been working at Sartorius Stedim

    Pros

Most managers do not Mico manage. The new office is pleasent to work in. Their benifits package is pretty good.

    Cons

Not much room for growth within the company. They don't always post all jobs internally. Their yearly increases are very low.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would be great if they spent more effort in hiring within the company and gave their employees a chance to move up.
