    Good Place to Grow Technically

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsLots of training programs run continuously every month,Work space gives independence to grow technically,Managers and reportee relation open.Management approachable when required.company environment friendly

ConsCompensation ok types, not good enough for employee satisfaction .frequent change in management people affects engineering level, not competitive in bringing in new work, getting new clients.
Loses projects to competitors easily because of high budgets, though has good engineers.

Advice to Senior ManagementBe competitive and focus on retaining clients rather than high billing due to which you lose long standing customers. Focusing on lay -offs at engineering level when company is in bad period does not help, look at the root cause and be proactive.Learn from past mistakes, losing clients to competitors is in the history of the company

Good for 2-5 years exp engineers

    Senior Software Engineer (Former Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

ProsIts a good option for engg. with 2-5 yrs exp. but may not be for more exp. engg.

    ConsHikes are less and biased.
Lack of architects who can judge technical skills.
The people managers may not be technical aware about the project handled by them.
The hard work by engg. may go in vain, he will only come to know on appraisals.
Lack of vision in high management.
    Lack of projects.
No consenses between higher management leads.
Too many policies but all hacked by management as per their own requirement.
Less chances to gain/ maintain technical skills.
Placement may not be on the domain of engg. skills.

Advice to Senior ManagementPlease be clear and un-biased on the policies.
Don't take employee support for granted.
Hire some more Architetcs and strategy planners.
    Understand the reasons of attrition

Dont join Sasken if you really want to grow in your career

    Verification Engineer (Former Employee)
    Bangalore (India)

ProsSorry but i had worked here for 2 years but i did not find even a single thing to write down in this section

Cons1. Its a company made of HR's, where there is no value given to Engineers who really put in their sweat to earn money for the company.

    2. There is not all any transparency in the HR policies.

    3. Good cultural activities to waste your time.

    4. Wastage of time in useless meetings.

    5. Top management is just saving their chairs and firing the young talent.

    6. There many useless people sitting in the top management just taking salary for doing nothing.

    7. I don't understand why there are separate departments for jamboree kind of things.

    8. Few internal departments are just getting salary to show their face in the office.

    9. Many people are just using place as a place to just come and relax.

    10. The sad thing here is the engineers who work day n night to bring money are just not at all valued at this place.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop wasting money on useless activities such as jamboree.
Rather than firing Engineers, look back at top management persons and review how much they have earned for sasken in the past few years.

There is no need of separate departments for handling extra curricular activities.

    At least Provide good training.

If sasken really wanna grow in future, then go back and have a look how much the HR's of this company misusing this beautiful place which once used to be.

Though i am speaking harsh, but this is the reality.

I cant see this place getting spoiled like this.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
