I have been working at Satellite Healthcare full-time

    Pros

Very busy office, company is growing fast!

    Cons

    Processes are not in place

    Advice to Management

You need a friendly receptionist, outsiders have complained about her attitude and professionalism as well as her rudeness.

Overall company is okay... A lot of turnover. There is room for advancement but it takes a long time. Pay is not good.

I have been working at Satellite Healthcare full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good coworkers, good hours for the home programs because no weekend (unless you are on call), no work on national holidays.

    Cons

No generalized base rate of pay and not the same pay increase throughout company. I started here with some nursing experience but base rate of pay is low, where other clinic pay was at a decent 42 with lesser experienced nurse. Salary increase per year is only at about 2% which was not even $1.

    Advice to Management

Salary should be standardized with base pay and the increase should be then dependent on the employee's work ethic and growth

I have been working at Satellite Healthcare full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great co-workers, friendly staff, 3 day work weeks.

    Cons

very low pay, no room for advancement, some clinical managers have no idea what they are doing, it seems like Satellite Healthcare is focused on opening up as many clinics as possible without taking care of current employees,

    Advice to Management

Actually listen to employees and take the initiative to try and make things better instead of constantly saying yes to upper management.

I have been working at Satellite Healthcare full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Good work life balance, meaningful work, supportive culture, good benefits, and strong & inspiring leadership. Commitment to quality of care and to satisfied customers (staff, patients, doctors, community partners). Management is transparent, communicates changes to staff, and provides numerous venues for staff and patients to provide feedback. Great place to work overall.

    Cons

Work hours vary at each clinic depending on census, this may or not be an issue depending on your needs and preferences. Specializes in dialysis, career oppotunities are limited to this field but it appears there are opportunities for growth in all disciplines within the agency, and there are locations throughout the nation.

    Advice to Management

Continue to listen to staff and patients feedback and experiences, and make structural adjustments accordingly. Remain true to agency mission, and continue to focus on quality of care. And continue to strive to be competitive among patients and (potential) employees.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Satellite Healthcare (More than a year)

    Pros

Good Benefits, HR visits all clinics gives employees an opportunity to "Speak Out". Your co-workers (fellow PCTs and RNs) will be a source of support during those busy turn overs.

    Cons

Depends which clinic, there are Clinical Managers with no leadership qualities.

    Advice to Management

To Clinical managers, give your staff a chance to make suggestions . Sometimes it's not always all about $$
