Pros
Very good company for the following category....
Good for freshers
People who are the management's favorites
Telugu community
People who are good at politics
Cons
Too much of favoritism
No proper recognition
Hikes are a joke
Promotions -----> What is a promotion?
Employee Retention is not heard of here
Did you hear about the new attendance recording and tracking system which they proudly call "ARTS". Employees are treated as prisoners in Indian campus.
Only jokers are hired at the high level management.
If you are an experienced person and have others options, don't look back!!!! Look at my below advice to management.....You'll get the idea....
Advice to Senior Management
This management does not need any advice, because "THEY ALWAYS HEAR, BUT NEVER LISTEN". People like C. P. Gurnani are good, but don't know what's happening at the ground level since they are always sitting on a cloud and only listen to what the birds (Management) sing. They don't see where and on whom the bird's droppings fall.
Pros
Now since Mahindra has taken over Satyam, i hope the company DNA will change for good.
Cons
There were lots of downsides earlier. Hope the new management will breathe new life to company
Pros
It is a great exposure for a freSher
Cons
Middle management is completely incompetent; politics and opurtunist
Advice to Senior Management
Recognize employee benefits as seen by the top management; middle management should help implement it in right spirit
Pros
Good work schedule
Lots of freedom to be creative
strong technical skills
Cons
Poorly run company
talent level is poor
lack of strong business rules and processes
Eventually this lack of control caught up with them in a financial scandal
Lack of strong middle management and business leaders
Advice to Senior Management
get more control over the company. Hire stronger "business" leaders. Technical talent is good but if you don't know what the business value is that the technology brings to clients what the point.
Pros
satyam computer is very good for freshers.
Cons
initial 2 years nice to work but after that learning experience will be getting reduced.
Pros
Flexibility, gud canteen, work culture is good, leave policy is gud
Cons
Stagnant growth, less onsite, salary ok, monotonus job, ok growth
Advice to Senior Management
be genuine with promotions
Pros
You just need to be lucky in SATYAM to get what you want, if your lucky you might have good project, professionally sound manager, good team mates and so on what you want in your professionally.
And if you are not lucky, you better should be a good sycophant (or.. i guess you got the word).
Cons
If you read the Pros you can definitely sense the cons. The biggest one is the management (specifically middle one) doesn't care even care what you want and managers are prejudice.
Advice to Senior Management
When you are a big service organization it right you are not and you cannot keep everyone happy but what is important try to hear and see the people who work for, not to the people who just talk.. Don't have a blind eye. they are many small things and big that could help but No need... Management never take advice.
