Pros
Near shore development model gives more opportunities to work abroad
Cons
lack of corporate culture
insensitive and grumpy management
disgusting corporate services associates who keep acting as the boss of the companies
some third class HRs who don't know anything else other than being rude
Advice to Senior Management
a complete overhaul
Pros
Excellent work culture. Some times talent is recongnised. Generally fair and if not you have recourse to address this issue. Freshers can really learn a lot. Most people can feel safe as they do not fire anyobdy. They give enough chances to fail. Leadership is encouraged. Anybody taking lead is enocuraged and has a good chance of growth. If you have good lucid communication style, you will really go places. It is also possible that scum rises to the top just as cream rises to the top. Be on the good books of your manager you can defintely be the ONE.
Cons
Pay is not so good. Depends on how you negotiate
Advice to Senior Management
Consider the employee feedback properly and act on it
Pros
Provides good training for the freshers...
They really helps freshers to get started by giving them proper training for around 3 months.
Cons
less salary, work culture is not very good, less team work. all personal effort, dirty politics at the higher level
Advice to Senior Management
take your resources seriously as they are the assets for you.
Pros
Gives flexibility to maintain a good work life balance.
Cons
Unprofessional work environment and not a meritocracy
Advice to Senior Management
Work on making the associates more polished, professional. Change its image of being a "Telugu" dominated company with all top/senior management being from Andhra.
Pros
growth, onsite opporutinities, some of the best talent
Cons
Regional bias, poor senior leaders, no proper planning, poor infrastructure, poor communication between depts
Advice to Senior Management
To be more disciplined and to have a wider base of city for working
Pros
If there is less work , you can enjoy your life. There is no attendance tracking. Does not have any induction program.
Cons
Does not innovate only copies from other. Sr. management is completely dumb and clueless.
Too much bureaucracy. Everything needs to be approved by some dumb guy in finance
No process. No focus on "customer happiness"
Advice to Senior Management
Throw out 50% of your RMs.Consolidate your campus.
Think outside Hyd.
Pros
If you are a beginner in your career, satyam would be good company, however, you need to be again a Telugu for getting into some projects as a fresher. There are more than 3000 freshers in the company who have not got into any projects and are still on bench. These are not ven given looked after from any angle like groming or using them for someother opportunities. They are asked to sit in places where even they do not have access to satyam network. The height is, to fill their daily work sheet, they have to go to cyber cafe and fill it!!!!!!!
Cons
Good to wrok if you are of Telugu or Tamil origin. One person on Top and the remianing full family is in Satyam, all satyam employees know that, there are 3-4 top persons who family (30-60 people) are working in satyam and most of them of no use to satyam. They hardly even come to office. The official language is Telugu and decisions are made in the same. Non telugu person is totally unaware of the same. He/She is just conveyed the decisions. This is know fact, if you are a non telugu, even your salary/promotion is kept at abeyance.
Advice to Senior Management
Stop thinking about your self and work towards satyam goal.
Pros
It's world of opportunities and exploration is unlimited. This organization provides platforms for technology domains, functional domains, cuts across 62 countries in the world with diverse nature of projects that helps employees to develop themselves into leadership roles. It offers real career building opportunities for employees and one can bet on a stint but to be cautious, move on too different roles otherwise legacy will bit you..
Cons
work culture is far from professional though certain packets are really great to work. Yet lack of systems integration is a painful process in terms of productivity and lesser stress levels
Advice to Senior Management
It's high time that leadership framework gets its roots for its expected results. It seems a fantastic framework as of now resulted in a big overhead. Get act together and break the legacy and gear up next level of your leadership to build respect among colleagues be it communication, approach or anything else. Remove passing the buck as much...
Pros
Allows flexibility towards work n work hours
Work culture is good
There are loads of opportunities which associates can use to improve their skills
Exposure to wide variety of domains
Compensation is attractive
Senior leadership is attentive to new ideas when well presented and nutures it well
Onsite opportunities are available more often
Cons
Large bench that can be put to use thoughtfully
Scarcity of technical resources on projects
Regional Bias and disconnect is felt at times
Concentrate more on alliance like relationships with biggies rather than trying too hard to get into smaller projects and smaller deals in middle east etc.
Need big wins desparately
Advice to Senior Management
Need good recruits - lateral ones
Pros
Those who do not want to work, have a huge bench.
Cons
Given roles to persons who are not suitable for.
Advice to Senior Management
To be realistist with Team, not to bluff/show dreams.
