Pros
Very relaxed. Good salary. Good support from management and seniors.
They compensate good for your good work. Work culture is good.
The HR practices are very good. They are not stingy when it comes to entertainment, employee benefits etc. Their centres have all the good facilties. They have lots of onsite opportunities which is good for emlpoyees in India since it gives them a chance to earn more money. They are very flexible. For example, if you are onsite and if you wish to come back to India they would some how take care of it, without thinking that business would take a set back.
Cons
Not a lot of opportunities. Mostly support. No real core development work.
Also employee management is not good.
They dont try to identify problems in an employee and work on it. They dont learn from mistakes and stop repeating it. For example if there is an employee who is not performing, they should work towards moulding him to become a better employee... But instead they would remove that person from one project and put him on another thus jeopardising the other project as well.
They lose deals which they have an upper hand in by putting wrong people for the most important jobs.
Advice to Senior Management
They need to hire go-getters into senior level. They should give priorities to professionals who has good communication skills. People with bad communication skills should be identified and kept away from customers.
Should more agressively pursue deals by putting the right people for important jobs like making RFP, marketing etc.
