Pros

Working at Schaeffler Group allows exposure to a growing international company involved in a majority of the progressive industrial and automotive development projects. This private company has historically developed a long term strategy not with shareholders in mind, but with a focus on sustained growth with appropriate capital investment.

Cons

The regional approach to managing problems has created distinctly different ways to manage resources, IT and capital.

Advice to Senior Management

The growth strategy needs to be better thought out. Work breakdown structures need to be used with more frequency. Defining resource needs in advance of rolling out a project will improve the cost effective completion of projects.
