Family culture company with not amazing salary

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) Hong Kong (Hong Kong)

ProsGreat office environment, good medical benefits, work live balanced, most people leave before 6pm great place to work if you have kids.
People are friendly and willing to help, seniors do take good care of the younger members. No much office politics compare to outside.
Lots of training provided along the way no matter your career level with opportunities to travel and visit other AP branches.
There are some opportunities for overseas work and moving within departments after working for min. 1-2 years but not certain, really depends on what comes up.

ConsBig MNC, rigid company structure, conservative not sensitive to outside changes.
Low turnover rate from mid career level onward therefore promotion is not going to happen too soon.
Not much clear and structured options for career path unless you want to stick with the same department forever. What other opportunities you may have totally depends on luck so you need to keep an eye out at all times. It's easy to get a bit lost and dead ended after a while in your career development. you need to talk to as many people as you can ask around and take initiative in what you want to do.
Salary it's not competitive for junior levels.

Advice to Senior ManagementSalary increase is not just for promotions, you need to be competitive to make people stay!
Provide more information on how and what options the role can develop into.

Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company
