Pros

Job Hours, Compensation and benefit, A few incompetent managers at high position who doesn't do much and lack ideas but just talk and can't make decision.
Advice to Senior Management
Not just change things for the sake of change. Need to keep what's working. Need to cut buraucracy.
Need to promote people who can make decision into management and position of responsibility.
Pros
#1 service company in the world
international career opportunities
good benefits
excellent training programs
good career path offers
very diverse population at any location
Cons
since the company is extremely large it`s easy to get lost in the system, one has to push hard to attain what he/she desires from own career.
Advice to Senior Management
I don`t believe management in this company listens to any feedback from its employees.
Pros
Managers are flexible. Mine have been very good at giving me feedback. Your career opportunities are really as big as you want them to be, but you have to work at finding the path.
Cons
There is a tendency to jump from one trendy management program to another. It's not a fatal flaw, but it's annoying. There also seems to be a lack of structure when it comes to bettering yourself in your profession. Schlumberger does have a number professional improvement programs, and they develop them with the best of intentions, but they're often very hard to decipher for the uninitiated, and it takes so much time, you can't figure it out and do your job.
Advice to Senior Management
Your people want to do better. Offer them a straightforward path and clearer direction. Otherwise, I love it here. It's hard to find a better place to work.
Pros
Good team work and job attitude
Cons
sometimes it could be monotonous
Advice to Senior Management
Work on team work

Exciting company to work for. However, breaking out of the mid management is tough.
Pros
Pay is good, benefits are great, awesome people to work for. My segment is a smaller segment of SLB, therefore, there is great communication between management and employes.
Cons
On call, not always 30 on 30 off.

Excellent field experience. Younger co-workers.
Cons
Lots of manual labor and late nights.
Advice to Senior Management
Treat your field engineers with a bit more respect.
