I have been working at Schlumberger
Pros – life long learning, big money, you get to travel. A family friendly company, and you will get all the support you can for relocation. You get a real responsibility from day one, however there is always someone who is ready to help if you get stuck.
Very good knowledge share base. If you have a specific porblem, you can reach to any emplyee of schlumberger worldwide to benefit from his experience.
Cons – Requires very hard work on the expense of your persnal life. Other companies can still pay more than schlumberger for similar tasks. The HR should more fair and open minded.
Advice to Senior Management – be humble and talk to your emplyees directly

I have been working at Schlumberger
Pros – Diversity of workplace, an excellent career path and ability to develop at own pace.
Starting as a trainee, you will have a clear expectancy, tasks and time of how and when you will be promoted. Compensation and medical insurance is top-notch, although personal-performance is not a big factor until a person reaches the GFE status.
Cons – Not much of work/life balance. Due to being a service company, we have to adapt to our client's needs and hence this may result in alot of work hours at different times of the day/week/year. Including weekends and public holidays. Sometimes language-barrier is an issue at some locations.
In the start though, expect to do alot of non-related work such as painting, cleaning and maintenance where you will be wondering "am I actually paid to do such tasks?" but after first school things start to kick up.
Advice to Senior Management – Some locations require more input from management, especially when low-grade employees are not looked after well. Also, at time where there is a huge workload, management should keep an eye on people who are totally fatigued and give them a bit of time off.
