    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Schlumberger full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The pay was great, and the rotation wasn't too bad. For a job right out of college, it was pretty good.

    Cons

There was no support system, and the company was not at all focused on the employee.

    Pros

Insane amount of Money. If you were awake you were on the clock.

    Cons

My training was 2 weeks. Everyday not 5 days a week. Included how to walk up and down a flight of stairs holding the hand rail incorrectly so that if i did actually slip and fall I would sprain my wrist. Your a number on a spread sheet to some one a thousand miles away.

    Pros

14 days on, 7 days off makes for a good work/life balance if you can handle being away for 14 days. Lots of responsibility, great training, and great pay.

    Cons

Lifestyle job. The job defines your life which can be hard with a family and kids

    Pros

I worked at Schlumberger (More than 3 years)

The great thing about schlumberger is that they were flexible with my schedule and allowed me to go to school. I was pursuing my engineering degree. They also paid for my schooling as well.

    Cons

Working in manufacturing , things did become redundant over time

    Advice to Management

I had great managers who supported me going to school and good mentors .

I worked at Schlumberger (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The salary was good and highly competitive with the rest of the industry which was also true for the benefits, software, and training.

    Cons

Although many areas were competitive with the industry, they were short of the oil and gas companies. There were unrealistic deadline expectations and mountains of red tape impeded productivity which led to frustration.

    Advice to Management

There is a great need to minimize the hoops and hurdles. Also, stop trying to force everyone to know the entire processing sequence and allow there to be specialists.
