Current Employee – been working at Schneider Electric full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Good team, Good manager, Good projects.
As a fresher I joined Schneider and I got to learn a lot on the technology side as well as on building automation domain. There is good work life balance.
Cons – Schneider electric is not perfect. Salary is not that competitive, Usually it is little less than the market value, but this done on purpose so that people are not laid off during tough situations.
Lunch is given but it is not good :)
Advice to Senior Management – Improve the quality of lunch provided. Try to match the salary given with the market value.

Current Employee – been working at Schneider Electric as a contractor for more than 7 years
Pros – The Pay, we're paid by prevailing wage, which is competitive with union pay.
Your autonomy, you are left alone as long as you do what is required of you.
Cons – There are many highly trained ex-military maintainers and operators employed in this division which are not being used to their fullest level. Skills are being wasted, knowledge, and prior reflexive abilities are rusting. The challenge and joy of working with your hands and learning new skills is removed by monotonous tasks and fixes. It's easy, but at the cost of your pride and spirit.
The hours are terrible, two shifts 0500-1400 and 1400-2300, with rotating scheduled days. Families fall apart under these conditions.
You're unlikely to be see any advancement in position unless you're Asian. There are public court records alleging management of this, but the case was dismissed because there was, "too much time" between incidents, according to the judge. The organizational culture is one of cliques, and nonstandard "ethical standards." The quality of work suffers because this is a dead-end job and there is little incentive more than the pay.
There aren't vacation or sick days, but "Paid Time Off" and unless you have four or more years you don't receive anymore than the fourteen with which you began. Our division has been sold numerous time not allowing us to accrue time to earn more days.
Supervisors and management are only concerned with looking good to grow the contract, and unconcerned with the morale of the field techs.
Advice to Senior Management – Open up positions for advancement and from there your service will improve with little effort from management.

Current Employee – been working at Schneider Electric full-time for less than a year
Pros – It's a global organisation so you get exposure to the international market.
Working principles are strong and very well structured around professional development.
Cons – The Blue collar jobs, especially on contract might not be so fortunate.
Not all the employees on all levels are treated the same which leads to disgruntled workers, especially in the manufacturing unit.
Advice to Senior Management – Happy workforce makes a bigger & better profit .

Former Employee – worked at Schneider Electric full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Great people. TAC prided itself on hiring great people. The group of people I worked with were from the original TAC organization. While TAC was SE owned when I started working there it was at least still allowed to operate independently.
Cons – Once SE took over operations it became big company.....all about maximizing profits and minimizing expenses. You were just another number on paper. Promotions become nonexistent and when you did get one it wasn't even enough to cover inflation over the years since your last one. The value of the people was tossed out the window by SE.

Current Employee – been working at Schneider Electric full-time for more than 10 years
Pros – Company has been doing well.
Cons – Schneider Electric is a French owned company. Decisions about the entities based in North America are made by French. Different country...different culture. This is affecting moral and will affect success of the company eventually.
