    I worked at Schneider Electric

    Pros

Work life balance, Europe company less pressure, good pay compared to service based companies, PT - long term travel opportunities but u shud b lucky..

    Cons

technology stagnant, management need to be improved, politics, travel opportunities less for developers ( depends on project), not very dynamic in technology adaption.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make standard rules for promotions n Hike.. so many ppl feel differences with same level employee grades. Work life balance is key for ppl to stay there don't alter that too much so that ppl will stay there for longer period.

I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

The total compensation package is good. The mission of the company to be global specialists of energy management is something that resonates well. The values of the company are well aligned to the mission and vision. There is a lot of career growth opportunities if you want an international assignment.

    Cons

Through all of the acquisitions the company has made over the past few years, a pervasive bloated bureaucracy has emerged. There is some kind of a new corporate initiative rolled out every time an new VP position gets announced. If you take an international assignment be aware that you are on your own to find a new position in the company if you ever want to return to your home country.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep focusing on the vision and the mission of the company. The people related initiatives are helpful in building a single Schneider Electric culture but get rid of the painful HR tools we're expected to use to implement them!

I worked at Schneider Electric full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

A large company with many business units and acquisitions which allows for advancement

    Cons

You have to be willing to relocate for advancement unless you are already in one of the major business hubs.

I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Nice people, and very approachable upper level management.

    Cons

Bad pay, benefits or very average, I was told I would be doing one thing and I'm doing the complete opposite. There is no official training it's kind of just learn as you go, with minimal manager involvement

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Better organization, better allocation of employees and better new hire training.

I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great place to learn. Good training and experience.

    Cons

Politics and lobbying are killing employees motivation.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Compensation must be based on qualifications and experience, not on personal views and preferences of the management.
Also, changing the organization structure frequently is not healthy for the company.

I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great work liife balance, option to work from home on Fridays. Great benefits, training available. Room for growth, especially for fresh outs or professionals in the early years of their career, great place to start.

    Cons

Not much employee interaction at headquarters, most departments stick to themselves. Long commute for city dwellers. Many business units operate separately, must really network to move ahead. Some managers lack people and communications skills and should not be in management positions but roll into these roles after 15/20 plus years w/the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow for employee feedback on the manager level, often leadership is not engaging enough with their teams and employees do not get the attention, development they deserve. (As a result lose talent) Everything SE preaches in it's initiatives needs to be practiced more on the management level, HR should work much closer to evaluate management and senior leadership on their effectiveness as managers and current skill set.
