I have been working at Schneider Electric

    Pros

There are a lot of really good people at Schneider, you can meet people that could be lifelong friends. There is a strong culture of personal and career development, along with the multiple business units, there will be opportunity for advancement, especially if you are mobile.

    Cons

There is a lot of bureaucracy that can make things take forever to get done. The recent financial performance has not kept up with key competitors, putting pressure on employees to do more with less. I have seen a lot of long time employees take jobs with competitors in the past 3 years.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The Digital Customer Experience is not improving. Every transformation of the website has made it worse. Take a look at some of our distributor's sites, they are best in class.

I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    1. Huge company with lots of scope for collaboration and seeking opportunities
    2. Clear message and vision from Chief Executive
    3. Reward package in line with norms

    Cons

    1. Individuals can feel lost in giant machine due to nature of matrix management - more meetings than action
    2. Chief Executives message and vision gets massaged and diluted by other management layers leading to less clear and sometimes conflicting objectives
    3. Change not as faced paced as it could be due to inefficiencies in management structure

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trust your subordinates to take the correct action, abandon culture or meetings, teleconferences and pointless reporting and watch the performance improve dramatically

    Recommends
    Positive Outlook

I worked at Schneider Electric as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

Very positive proactive working environment with senior staff willing to help and wants entry levels to succeed.
Lucrative internship that looks great on resume, greatly assists in those undergraduates looking for great experience in a corporate environment. Very challenging yet leads to networking opportunities for the proactive intern.

    Cons

None that I can think of

I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time

    Pros

    1. Good Salary
    2. Product company
    3. No work on weekend culture

    Cons

    1. They don't know what they want to achieve. Managers are not very much eligible
    2. No Process at all therefore blaming game is very easy
    3. To spoil the technical career, that is the best company to join
There are many more reasons, I will recommend not to join there

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please please please take care of your engineers. People are very upset. When you ask engineer in one and one meeting about their problems then just try to solve it. You know that how frequently you are getting resignation letter from your employees.
