I worked at Schneider Electric full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Schneider Electric promotes an exceptional work life balance while allowing the employees to reach their career goals. Schneider Electric has an exceptional management team that promotes self improvement.

    Cons

Considering Schneider Electric is a promoter of self improvement allowing employees to reach their career goals, at times there seems to be a quick turnover in middle management. This could potentially leave an employee wondering who they will report to and requires the employees to learn many management styles at a fast pace.

I worked at Schneider Electric full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Competitive salary, good benefits, etc. A lot of opportunities within the company as well.

    Cons

Very unorganized company when it comes to employee training, HR, inside communication, and company policies. Negative work environment. Lack of company events. Lack of concern for well being of their employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Invest more in the well being of your employees and providing a positive work environment for them.

I worked at Schneider Electric full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Large company based all over the world. It would allow someone to find multiple opportunities all over the planet.

    Cons

Aggressive acquisition strategy means the company is all over the map, but still loyal to the core business of Power.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Less bureaucracy would be welcome.

I have been working at Schneider Electric full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

As a large company it should provide some room for advancement (although I have not found that to be the case). Benefits are currently OK. PTO and Holidays are adequate (at best).

    Cons

The company started a STIP system to "incentiveize" employees to work harder and more effectively. They way they did this with existing employees was to make us start putting our annual raises (which typically are at best keeping up with inflation) into our STIP "bucket" until we reached our maximum (for me that is 10%). Long story short, I haven't had a REAL raise for three years and likely will only get a small raise this year as the majority will still have to go to fill my remaining STIP requirement. Additionally they have eliminated the top level insurance plan this year and are striving to get more and more people onto the High Deductible w/ HSA plan. For me, taking the next level plan, will cost me another $5000 to $6000 out of pocket (guess that little raise just went out the window!).

Long story short, the company has slowly been cutting pay and benefits yet still wanting as much or more output from its employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start actually appreciating, and showing your appreciation, your employees, especially those who deserve. Pats on the back and cheap plaques are great, but they don' t pay the bills. They don't provide for a good work/life balance. I understand that the company must provide profits to its share holders, but if the moral of the workforce drops and the quality people leave then you will find it much harder to facilitate that goal.
