A poorly managed and inefficient Thomson Reuters business, but the perks are reasonably good.

I worked at ScholarOne a Thomson Reuters business full-time for more than 3 years

ProsThere is little micro managing of employees due in part to the absence of management skills in general - most managers know less than you do.
Benefits are good; balance of family / work is good.

ConsIncompetent employees promoted to management and directorship cause daily frustration to those who are more experienced.
The upper management cliques are unprofessional and demotivating; poor business decisions by them abound and cause everyone else to suffer. Business aptitude and acumen is generall very poor among levels of management.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed to purge the entire management team that was assembled through cliques and buddies so the business can grow and thrive without constraint.
