    Pros

Supportive and will work hard to make sure you have a contracting spot, even if they have to float you for a bit.

    Cons

Little active career management. No bonuses.

    Advice to Management

Do a better job reaching out to clients to find out employee performance level and what could be worked on.

    Pros

    Benefits, pay and work environment.

    Cons

I don't have any cons, if your honest hard working individual then you have nothing to fear. If your lazy, there's the door...exit.

    Advice to Management

Wonderful leadership, perks and opportunities most companies won't offer.

    Pros

co-workers and direct management are excellent!!,. great atmosphere in the North Charleston office,.. really miss working for them,.. a security clearance kept me from an upcoming contract and just wish they'd kept me onboard until resolved,.. but otherwise a superb company to work for!

    Cons

hard to find anything bad,.. only exception is have transitioning work available to sustain employees when ending a contract and picking up another,.. and SRC needs to put an end to contractor bullying,..

    Advice to Management

stop letting "out of company" leadership i.e., SPAWAR management,.. determine who SRC chooses to work a contract,.. that should be SRC's decision alone and not coerced by SPAWAR,.. there have been a lot of SPAWAR leadership that comes and goes and at their whim I've seen great SRC employees "let go" because a SPAWAR employee who may only stick around for a few months or just through a contract not agree,.. SRC needs backbone to put an end to the contract bullying!

    Pros

Good people, challenging projects. Pays well.

    Cons

Mostly deal in joint test environment; short, non-sustainable contracts. No guaranteed follow-on work. Management was already looking ahead to new project, writing on the wall who was getting dumped.

    Advice to Management

Work harder to find follow-on work for your folks

    Pros

This is a great place to work - treat their people really well, always provide any tool requested as quickly as possible (often renting equipment and having it on-site the day after a need was identified), and care very much about individual growth and family/life balance. I've worked a lot of overtime, and the company made sure all of it was compensated - not something every company will do in my line of work.

    Cons

The company nominally develops systems, but my experience has been that their deliveries may not be as production-ready as I would expect given the dollar value of the products. I work on the maintenance side, and have lost count of the number of times I have notified development of a major problem, only to be told something like, "Oh yes, we know about that. We'll fix it eventually." When this occurs on a delivered and (supposed to be) fully operational system, there's a problem. When it happens routinely...

    Pros

Compensation is above standard, leadership is geared towards the PM providing.

    Cons

Mostly SPAWAR specific local contracts are what this company solely relies upon.

    Advice to Management

Reduce the levels of management to become more competitive with the smaller companies. Be open and honest with your people.

    Pros

Interesting work. Large enough to win good contracts with the government. The work feels meaningful, purposeful, and appreciated.

    Cons

Not many locations around the country.

    Advice to Management

If there was any advice to give upper management, I would, but there is none. I worked for this company three years and I never had any issue at any management level.
